Bed Bug Solutions in Pago Pago, American Samoa Let’s put …

Bed bugs are small parasitic insects. Their species name is Cimicidae and the most common type of bed bug insect is called Cimex lectularius. This breed of parasite affects us the most because their preferred food supply is human blood.

Bed bugs in themselves aren't specifically harmful to humans, but let's face it, any creature which feeds by breaking the skin of it's victim and sucking it's blood is going to cause health issues. Think mosquito! When a bed bug bites you, it is introducing into your bloodstream any bacteria which happen to be on it's mouth parts. You can certainly expect rashes, itching, and other discomfort.

For most people, the psychological effect of a bed bug infestation is the worst part. If you go outside in the summer time in Pago Pago, American Samoa, chances are, you're going to get mosquito bites. But, when you go indoors, by and large, the problem is left outside. Any mosquitoes that follow you inside can be swiftly dealt with. Not so with bed bugs. They live in your house! They thrive where you're most vulnerable - asleep in your bed. If you have, or even suspect, a bed bug infestation, you can expect serious sleep deprivation.

You've probably read that bed bugs are making a come back in Pago Pago, American Samoa. Not quite a plague yet, but the nasty little pests are spreading rapidly. There are many factors involved in their resurgence. People move around a lot more. The insecticides that almost wiped out bed bugs (DDT based) are no longer used because of other health risks. We don't hot wash any more - we wash our clothes using cold or warm cycles - which only result in clean bedbugs!

Bed bugs can hitch a ride to your home with almost ridiculous ease. Stay in a hotel, they can get in the folds of your suitcase. Take a flight; they can already be passengers on your seat. Visit someone who already has an infestation, your coat is their taxi.

These are persistent nasty little pests, but they are not "super bugs". A bed bug infestation can be beaten, or prevented if you follow certain precautions. One thing for sure, Exterminators are expensive! We've found some informational products that may help. Let us know.
