Q. nuvam strips
Hi, do you have nuvam strips for bed bug? Thanks!
Q. which bed bug is most effective for home use?
A. We recommend purchasing a bed bug kit that is put together by our technicians. Bed bug control will require a variety of products and all these products are included in the kits. Keep in mind that bed bug control requires thoroughness and they cannot be eradicated with just one treatment. The kits are all jumpstart kits but you may need supplement material to completely eradicate a bed bug infestation. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us again.

Home remedies for bed bugs
Remember when your mom use to say sleep tight and dont let the bed bugs bite? When I was a little kid I didnt think bed bugs were real. But now I know they are real and they can potentially be dangerous.
They are little ugly bugs that crawl around in your bed and bite you at any chance they get.
But dont worry
There are a few simple home remedies you can use to help get rid of bed bugs. Use these home remedies for bed bugs to prevent getting bed bugs as well as to get rid of them.
One of the easiest things you can do to get rid of bed bugs is to wash any and everything that could possibly be infected.
That includes linens, bed sheets, pajamas and any article of clothing that might have come in contact with your bed.
When you wash make sure the water is extremely hot. This is the only way to kill off the infestation. Bed bugs will die in very hot water.
After you have washed everything give your room a good vacuuming.
Use your vacuum on everything.

Insecticide Foggers Won’t Eliminate Bed Bugs.
Pesticides are regulated by Health Canada under the Pest Control Products Act, and are among the most stringently regulated substances in Canada. The Pest Management Regulatory Agency is the branch of Health Canada that administers the Act on behalf of the Minister of Health.
Did you know it's against the law...
- to use pesticidesto control any pest that is not listed on the label.
- to use pesticides in a manner that is notin compliance with directions on the label.

Pest News:
A new study shows that Bug Bombs are no match for the blood-sucking pests. Researchers at Ohio State University looked at three brands of bug bombs, also known as foggers, from a nationwide retailer and tested their effectiveness on five different bed bug populations in the lab. What they found was what pest-control experts had long thought. There has always been this perception and feedback from the pest-management industry that over-the-counter foggers are not effective against bed bugs and might make matters worse, said lead author Susan Jones, an urban entomologist with the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center. But up until now there has been no published data regarding the efficacy of foggers against bed bugs. Jones and her colleagueJoshua Bryant found thatHotshot Bedbug and Flea Fogger, Spectracide Bug Stop Indoor Fogger, and Eliminator Indoor Foggerhad little to no effect on the bed bugs. (Only Hotshot Bedbug is specifically labeled for use against bed bugs.) All three total-release foggers claim kills on contact yet all field-collected bed bugs were unaffected upon re-entry, the authors write. Even five to seven days after contact, the bed bugs remained unharmed. These foggers dont penetrate in cracks and crevices where most bed bugs are hiding, so most of them will survive, said Jones in the statement. Even when the bugs do come into contact with the insecticides, their varying levels of resistance to the insecticide and the foggers poor toxicity leave the crawlers unscathed. If you use these products, you will not get the infestation under control, you will waste your money, and you will delay effective treatment of your infestation, said Jones.
Alaska Disapproves Foggers Claiming to Kill Bed Bugs The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation's Pesticide Control Program has taken action to disapprove total release foggers listing bed bugs as a target species or include the terms "bedbug" or "bed bug" on packaging. The first state to take this action, Alaska has cited several reasons for this change in direction: 1) foggers lack efficacy against bed bugs (especially in the places they tend to hide), 2) most foggers are pyrethrins or pyrethroids, compounds to which many bed bugs are resistant, 3) foggers can cause the bed bugs to spread to other units and 4) risks associated with fire when people overuse foggers to control beg bugs.

How to get rid of bed bugs! – BEDBUGS
Why do I have bed bugs?Bed bugs dont travel far, which is why humans are the main reason they spread. Travelers leaving their suitcases open can allow the bed bugs to hitch a ride. People bringing in used furniture or clothing can spread the bugs throughout a building. Any time sanitation conditions lapse, these bugs will expand their turf.

Where do they hide?Bed bugs are flat and can hide in very narrow spaces. They like the area under a mattress near the human host. They are found behind mirrors, headboards, wall molding and pictures, under chairs, in furniture cushions or seams, cracks in the wall, electric outlets or any small openings. They generally are a few feet from where someone sleeps. Their creep factor is high as they come out at night and feed on the blood of their host. Look for blood spotting on the sheets or around pillows. Small brown spots and red rash-like itching sores are tell tale signs of a problem. So far, no disease transmission has been linked to the bed bug. Bed bugs are very hard to kill.

Whats the one-two punch?A two step process is required to effectively deal with bed bugs. The first punch is to eliminate the adult population with sprays or other treatments. The second punch is to stop the transmission to other locations. Both the landlord and the tenant have a shared responsibility to eliminate this pest. If one end fails, the pest will return. Cooperation is the key.

Bedbugs – Wisconsin Department of Health Services
Bed bugs, a problem worldwide, are resurging, causing property loss, expense, and inconvenience. The good news is that bed bugs do not transmit disease. The best way to prevent bed bugs is regular inspection for signs of an infestation.
General information
Bed bugs (Cimex lectularius) are small, flat, parasitic insects that feed solely on the blood of people and animals while they sleep. Bed bugs are reddish-brown in color, wingless, range from 1mm to 7mm (roughly the size of Lincolns head on a penny), and can live several months without a blood meal.
