A state building in Chicago was found to have bed bugs earlier this month. News website cbslocal.com related the details of it on its post dated March 20, 2014. In response to it, My Cleaning Products recommended a bed bug spray in order to help the residents protect themselves from the possible spread of the blood-sucking critters.

The report shared that Illinois Department of Revenue spokeswoman Sue Hofer confirmed that bed bugs were spotted in the state's Thomas Center. However, it stated that the affected offices of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation were already treated. As it added, employees were also informed of the incident and were instructed how to prevent the further spread.

The critters were sighted in seven cubicles of a floor accessed only by state employees, said the report. And as it detailed, one staff with a bed bug infestation at home was tracked as the source of them.

"It was in the Thomas Center where the critters were particularly sighted. They said to have affected seven cubicles in a floor only accessed by state employees.

According to My Cleaning Products, this report about bed bugs infesting an office building is another proof that they could invade any place. And as it warned the public, anyone's house could be the next one that they would plague.

However, the infestation of those pesky creatures could be avoided, said MCP. If one could detect and kill bed bugs promptly, it said that a major invasion of them could be prevented and so is a big expense for the elimination process.

But to get rid of bed bugs promptly, the company said that a bed bug spray is needed. And among others, it asserted that Bed Bug Bully is the best.

Travel discussion for St. John

I am kinda freaked out by the infestations of bedbugs sweeping the country. I haven't traveled much thus summer. I am wondering if it's hit the islands. We will be overnighting in St Thomas before we head to St John for our 2 week stay next month. I would assume the villas would be ok but am nervous about the hotels on St Thomas. Has anyone had any experience with those little critters?

Somebody a week or two ago did mention that they had bed buds at their hotel on St. John. I would rather not mention what hotel since I can not verify the story. If you are worried, lift up the matress as soon as you get in the hotel and check it out.
