Bed Bugs Attack Tennessee Apartment, My Cleaning Products Recommended an Organic Bed Bug Spray to Help Residents

Memphis, TN (PRWEB) October 10, 2013

Bed bugs were a problem in one Tennessee apartment complex. A report from wate.com on October 08, 2013 stated that the residents had been complaining about a massive infestation of them. So,in response to it, My Cleaning Products suggested to the residents and the rest of the public an organic bed bug spray to help.

As identified in the report, the infested complex was the Grayson Apartments in Alcoa, My Cleaning Products stated. And as it added based on the statement of two of its residents, the infestation in the place was massive.

In the report, MCP related that one of the tenants, Tihisha Jones captured 34 bed bugs and placed them in a plastic bottle to prove that they are present. Another resident, it relayed, described the number of the said vampire-like pests to be at millions. Nevertheless, it said that they believe the managers were not doing enough to solve the problem.

According to the news post, the recent bed bug case wasn't the first infestation in the complex, MCP further shared. It detailed that last year, Alcoa Codes Enforcement was also there three times in response to the same complain.

Here is an excerpt from the post Bed Bugs Strike Tennessee Apartment by My Cleaning Products.

Bed bugs aren't the only pests that could infest your place. However, they're probably the most annoying insects that you ever have to deal with. And facing severe infestation of those vampire-like crawlies themselves, residents of one apartment complex in Tennessee could surely prove that statement correct.

That affected complex is basically the Grayson Apartments in Alcoa. The infestation in it is said to be so severe that a tenant, named Tihisha Jones, even decided to just move out of the building.

MCP said that bed bugs are actually more of an annoyance than a health threat because they don't transmit diseases. However, it said that there are more than enough reasons to eliminate those pests. And as it cited, that elimination must also be promptly implemented.

If bed bugs are not cleared promptly, My Cleaning Products stated that the pests could double their number and multiply the inconvenience and expense that they could bring quick. So, it advised the residents and everyone else to always look out for bed bug signs and to immediately respond to it.

Bed Bugs in Maryland Senior Housing Push Residents to Complain, My Cleaning Products Suggests an Organic Bed Bug Spray …

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) September 16, 2013

A senior housing in Maryland was reportedly battling bed bugs. A report from baltimoresun.com related the story on September 11, 2013. Wanting to help its residents and everyone else who has to deal with the pest, My Cleaning Products suggested an organic bed bug spray to help, in response to it.

As the report determined, it was particularly the Selborne Housing in Laurel that was infested by the night-feeding critters, My Cleaning Products shared. It explained that the facility is basically an apartment complex for elders at the age of 55 and above.

Although new, one of the residents of the housing, Pearlie Pitt, said in the report that it has gone downhill with all the bed bugs and other problems in it, MCP related. Another resident, Charline Taylor seconded that complain in a Laurel City Council in September 09, it detailed.

Responding to the complaint, the report stated that the facility's management then implemented a three-round bed bug treatment, added MCP. However, Taylor said that it should have been done to the whole building not just on the infested units, it relayed.

Below is a part of the post Bed Bugs Reported in Maryland Senior Housing by My Cleaning Products.

These days, there is almost no place that bed bugs couldn't penetrate. However, of all the likely spots that they would infest, houses and apartments are the most vulnerable to their presence, along with hotels and inns.

There is already a long list of those bed bug infested residences that could prove that correct. And based on a recent news, Selborne House in Maryland is the latest addition to it.

According to My Cleaning Products, there is now a much bigger risk of picking up bed bugs than ever. So, it advised everyone, either living in houses or apartments, to always be ready to kill bed bugs.

However, of all the methods to get rid of the pests, it said that DIY bed bug elimination is the best as it makes the whole process inexpensive. Nonetheless, it cleared that it must be implemented only if a person is sure he could handle the work and that it is not yet massive.

Commissioners pass bedbug ordinance

The spread of bedbugs has become a serious problem within the city, and officials gave final approval to an ordinance to deal with the situation during a regular meeting of the Maysville Board of Commissioners on Thursday.

The ordinance makes it the property owners' responsibility to remove infested furnishings that have been placed on the curb by themselves or tenants and to also treat the structure for bed bugs before the property can be rented again.

During last month's city commission meeting, City Manager Ray Young said there has been a drastic increase of bed bugs in recent months and he's worked with the Buffalo Trace Health District to find some solution to the problem. He said BTHD Executive Director Allison Adams found an ordinance adopted by Chicago officials addressing the issue and the ordinance has been revised for adoption in Maysville.

The ordinance makes it the property owners' responsibility to remove infested items and allows the property owner to be fined $100 per day plus court costs for furniture and bedding that isn't removed after three days of being set on the curb. The problem has been related primarily to rental properties.

The ordinance will be enforced by the city's Codes Enforcement and Police departments. A citation will be issued to the property owner by the police, who will in turn have three days to remove the discarded items from the curb. The property owner will also be required to file paperwork with the city and health department proving the property has been treated for bed bugs.

Young said employees of the Codes Enforcement office will monitor the property on a daily basis to make sure a new tenant doesn't move into the house or apartment before it has been treated and the paperwork filed.

The ordinance was questioned by two property owners and an owner of a second-hand shop during the meeting. One property owner said he didn't feel it was fair to make the property owner responsible for the tenant. City officials stressed the $100 per day fine will not be imposed if the property owner removes the infested item within the three day time frame. Property owners were told they must take the item to the landfill, instead of the item being removed city employees.

Officials were asked if the ordinance was meant to penalized the owners and tenants or if it was really an effort to stop the spread of the bugs. Young said the ordinance is designed to stop the spread of bed bugs and it's a first step in addressing the problem, which is occurring all over town.

At last month's meeting, Young said the problem is so bad, police, firefighters, EMTs and public works employees are coming back into the station or garage with bed bugs on them. Police officers now carry a 99 percent alcohol spray with them to use after being in a building suspected of having an infestation, said MPD Chief Ron Rice. Rice also said property that has been taken in as evidence that may be infested, is now stored in metal containers in a separate area of the department's property room to keep them from spreading.

For more information about the proposed ordinance, contact Young or the Codes Enforcement office at 564-9091.

Exclusive: Bed bugs a persistent problem in several Toronto libraries, documents reveal

The Toronto Public Library has been battling dozens of incidences of bed bugs in several branches in recent years, according to documents obtained by CTV Toronto.

Documents dating back to 2011 and obtained by CTV show city staff have been tackling the pest problem at branches in the downtown core, Scarborough and the Beaches.

At the Queen Saulter branch, located at Queen St. East near Broadview Ave., the critters have been dealt with seven times since 2011. They were found at public computers, the circulation desk and the book drop.

The entire branch had to be treated in March of 2012 after live bed bugs were found in books.

Documents from October stated: Rentokil found bed bugs in various traps during regular inspections, indicating bed bugs are spreading.

The branch was heat-treated the following month, but more bed bugs were found this year -- in January, May and July.

At the Toronto Reference Library, there have been 15 incidents since 2011. Bed bugs were found under computer chairs, at study carrels and in other places.

Last September at Cedarbrae Library, pest control crews fumigated the carpets. Books had to be thrown out.

Records show an infestation was discovered at the Kennedy Eglinton branch in Scarborough, when staff lifted a carpet and found bed bugs on the underpadding.

Late last year a library user at the Beaches branch reported being bitten twice. Chairs in the branch were treated, but later that same week more creepy crawlers were found.
