Bed bugs were discovered in yet another school. And wanting to help its officials and all the other bed bug victims, My Cleaning Products then suggested a pesticide-exempt bed bug spray.

In a report from fox59.com, posted on December 10, 2013, Arlington High School was cited as the school affected by the incident, My Cleaning Products shared. And as it detailed, parents were informed about it via a letter late last week.

However, though the school confirmed the bed bug issue, the report stated that in the letter sent to parents, Principal Alicia Hervey cleared that only one of the critters was found. Additionally, because anyone could bring in the crawlies to the building, she said that there may still be future sightings of the pests.

Bed bugs are now so prevalent that even campuses are troubled by them. And according to a report, the latest of which to have a taste of their pesky presence was a high school in Indianapolis.

Particularly, it was Arlington High School that was most-recently linked with those tiny vampire-like critters. But though the school confirmed the issue, it said that only a single bed bug was seen in the campus last week.

My Cleaning Products said that bed bugs are so prevalent these days that they now trouble even schools. However, it stated residences are still the most-susceptible to their presence.

Because of that, MCP advised the public to exert an effort to prevent the critters. Moreover, it told everyone to always be ready to kill bed bugs as they are sneaky. Doing so, it said, could prevent the worst of the things those crawlies could bring.

To be prepared to eliminate bed bugs, MCP said that must have a bed bug spray prepared. With it within reach, it elaborated that one could immediately implement treatment soon after the pests are detected.

Bed bugs could be eliminated in a number of ways. Freezing the items affected is one of those methods highly recommended to their victims. However, low temperature is less fatal to those pesky bugs than it was thought to be.

A study has discovered that like an Asian specie of cockroach, bed bugs could actually tolerate low temperature for quite some time. Details about them being cold survivors were given in the Journal of Economic Entomology.

My Cleaning Products said that freezing is a recommended method to get rid of bed bugs because it involves no chemicals. GENEVA, Ind. (WANE) - It's something no tenant ever wants to hear: You have bed bugs. That's what some people the Geneva Shores Apartments in Adams County have been dealing with since August. The property manager said the infestation has been all cleaned up, but some timid tenants and an outspoken protestor beg to differ. South Adams Schools has also launched precautions against the insect problem.

For the past week, in the frigid December weather, Donna Butler has been the lone protestor holding a cardboard sign in front of the Geneva Shores Apartments, a complex for low income tenants.

Butler is adamant apartment management hasn't done enough to get rid of what she calls a bed bug infestation there. She's so passionate because she said her son accidently spread the bed bugs from one of the apartments to her home in the small town of Geneva.

It's been going on way too long, Butler said. People are living here now with no furniture. It has now spread through town.

The issue has even caught the eye of South Adams Schools, which began spraying down buses the first week of December.

Does it have our attention? Yes, said Scott Litwiller, superintendent of South Adams Schools. As a matter of precaution, we've been spraying buses with a spray that will kill those insects.

But a different story is coming from the Geneva Shores management. Milise Beitler said in the fall, Orkin Pest Control found four apartments with bed bugs. They previously treated, inspected, and reported that they didnt find bed bugs in three of the four apartments. Just Monday, Beitler said Orkin gave the all clear on the last one.

Ive got documentation stating that we were cleared. If [Butler] wants to say [its not], thats her opinion but we dont have them, Beitler said.

Still, anonymous tenants tell 15 Finds Out that the bed bugs have spread to other apartments. They didnt want to speak publicly, fearing they would be evicted.

The Bug N Scrub team returns to the home or apartment after treatment is complete to put things back in order and seal the unit to prevent infestation from neighbouring suites.

Vulnerable persons that need service must be referred by qualified organizations or individuals that have first- hand knowledge of the needs of the applicant.

Bed Bugs arent just found in the United States, but other countries as well. In fact traveling is a huge cause of bed bugs, bed bugs have been called the hitch hikers of the world. In the past six years there has been a great increase of bed bugs in West Australia. Pest control companies are reporting a 5780 per cent increase. The spread is from hotels, cinemas, private homes, offices and public transportation and the bugs have developed a resistance to chemical treatment. Infestations, like in cinemas, are extremely hard to control.

Typically in a private home someone may spend $600 to get rid of bed bugs, but Greg Mills (owner of Allpest) said he knew of a couple that had spent $7,000 to get rid of the pests in their home. In really bad infestations bed bugs can be found not only in beds but in cracks and crevices, curtains as well as the edge of carpets. Another reason for the huge rise in reported infestations is that bedbugs have built up a resistance to the low-toxicity chemicals used on mattresses to kill them.

Many agree that bed bugs are going to continue to be problematic but there also needs to be effort put forth in order to find a better way to detect and exterminate them.
