Yuck– some of the places in this new batch looked really seedy (to my delicate sensibilities) and had fairly recent traveller's reviews that screamed “ BED BUGS !! DON'T STAY HERE!!!” Nice. Granted, a number of the newly listed hotels also ... Both of us have friends in Vancouver , and I even have family there (my mom!), but after a whole summer of being around people and making conversation with anybody and everybody, we're not planning to do any socializing for a while
