A burglar said, Go ahead and call police, as he pushed his way past a homeowner that walked in on him Sunday on Calhoun Street near St. Alphonsus Church.

Bed Bug Bites Scare Plane to Lock Down, BedBugBully.com Discloses Pieces About the Incident
(PRWEB) May 01, 2012
Bed bug bites got a plane locked down last Thursday, said a report from suntimes.com dated April 26. One passenger of the aircraft was mistaken to have contracted an infectious disease. After discovering that the root cause of the incident were the bed bug bites, BedBugBully.com gave advice how to identify the marks. In addition, the website also suggested tips how to get rid of bed bugs fast and safe.
According to the report, Lise Sievers was suspected to have acquired monkeypox from her trip to Uganda. After receiving a call from La Porte Hospital about her rashes, Center for Disease Control held the plane she was on in Detroit and checked Sievers.
During the stop-over, it was said that the 50-year old called her mother. The report detailed that she told her about the bed bug bites she got from her hotel and the pustules she saw in the boy she'd hoped to adopt. Confused that Sievers was the one with pustules, her mother then called La Porte Hospital for advice. In turn, the hospital informed Center for Disease Control.
After confirming that the rashes Sievers got were not linked to monkeypox, the plane was allowed to continue its flight.
Below is part of the report Bed Bug Bites Caused Plane Lock Down from BedBugBully.com

Allegations of bed bugs at Pearl apartments
PEARL, MS (WLBT) -
Kelly Lancaster and her husband and children lived in apartment 49 at the Colonial Terrace Apartments in Pearl for several months, but moved out Thursday.
She says the apartment is full of bed bugs, and her family is covered with bites.
"We have a one-year-old, she's gotten bitten up really bad in her face, all over her back," Lancaster says.
"I mean this is awful. I had to buy scar cream," she says, showing us the welts on her back, arms, and legs.
Pamela Freeman lives directly upstairs.
"I had to put tape up where they were coming in at," she says, showing us where shehas sealed up her home in the corners and around the windows. She also sprays her bed every night, but she says the bed bugs still get in.
"Each time they feed, they shed. They grow," Freeman says. "My neighbor, she's got (bites) all over her."
Lancaster and Freeman say they've complained to management about it, and efforts have been made to treat the problem.
"They came in, heated our apartment to 140 degrees twice, sprayed some type of kerosene. It did nothing. We've thrown out our beds, everything," Lancaster says.
