Bed Bugs' Trends Tracked While My Cleaning Products Shares a Tip to Get Rid of the Critters Cheap and Safe

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) January 14, 2014

A recent study about bed bugs traced the vampire-like critters in Philadelphia. Science news website sciencedaily.com related the details of it on its post dated January 09, 2013. Meanwhile, to help the residents get rid of the pest cheap and safe, My Cleaning Products shared a way how to do it with a bed bug spray.

Based on the post, the research particularly mapped out the bed bug hotspots in Philadelphia and tracked their seasonal trends, My Cleaning Products related. And as it detailed, it specifically determined that those crawlies affect more the south part of the city. Moreover, it shared that they tend to peak in August and go low in February.

The post said that the study was conducted by Michael Z. Levy, PhD, assistant professor in the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, together with his colleagues, MCP stated. It relayed that it analyzed the calls to the Philadelphia Department of Public Health's Vector Control from 2008-2012 to determine the pest's pattern.

Below is an excerpt from the report Study Determines Bed Bug Patterns by My Cleaning Products.

Since their big comeback some 10 years ago, bed bugs have spread so wide and fast. But though knowledge about them has increased over the years, still they continue to become even more prevalent.

And so, to come up with a bed bug elimination method that is even more effective than ones available today, Michael Z. Levy, PhD, assistant professor in the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CCEB), along with his colleagues, conducted a new study. Its findings were published on January 8 in the Journal of Medical Entomology.

According to My Cleaning Products, knowing the patterns of bed bugs could indeed help someone in protecting himself from those critters. However, it warned the public to still be always ready to kill bed bugs promptly. And as it said, that's because they are sneaky.

To do that, MCP said that one would need a bed bug spray. Nonetheless, it stressed that the product must be safe apart from effective to protect the health of anyone who might be exposed to it.

Being an organic-based, the company stated that Bed Bug Bully makes the right product for the process. Because it contains no harmful chemicals, it cited that it also poses no risk to health. In fact, it shared that it's even on EPA's FIFRA 25(b) list for being pesticide-exempt. Additionally, it shared that it was already proven to effectively eliminate even bed bugs' eggs and nymphs.

Bed Bugs Develop Quickly in Crowd, My Cleaning Products Shares a Method How to Block Them From Increasing Fast

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 13, 2014

A new study about bed bugs revealed that being in a group speeds up their development. And so, to help the public prevent the increase of them and the worst of the problems that they bring, My Cleaning Products shared a way how to kill the critters early.

A post from sciencedaily.com dated January 09, 2014 related that the study was conducted by researchers from North Carolina State University, My Cleaning Products shared. It detailed that it was published on the Journal of Medical Entomology with the title of Group Living Accelerates Bed Bug (Hemiptera: Cimicidae) Development also on the 9th of January.

According to the post, the research particularly found out that a crowd of those vampire-like critters hastens the development of their nymphs by 2.2 days. MCP said. Additionally, the study also discovered that bed bug eggs and nymphs could still survive and join a bed bug infestation even without the help of their adults.

Below is a part of the post Bed Bugs Loving the Crowd by My Cleaning Products.

Bed bugs are known to multiply and spread quickly. And that makes those critters hard to completely get rid.

But that's not just it. A new study has discovered that their living in a group is also significant factor to their continued prevalence.

According to My Cleaning Products, the finding of this recent study provides a solid reason for anyone to kill bed bugs early. And by doing exactly that, it said that one could block those critters from multiplying fast and causing worse problems. As a result, it stated that it would also save the people from more bed bug bites and expenses.

But to eliminate those pesky insects early, MCP said that an individual must first be wary of their signs. And once any of those hints is encountered, it stated that their presence must then be confirmed and immediately followed-up by a bed bug treatment.

Besides that, the company asserted that a person must also prepare a bed bug spray. However, it stressed that the product to use must be organic-based to protect everyone's health.

Heat treatment for bed bugs is not a Do It Yourself project …

Although heat treatments can be effective for bed bugs, this is not a treatment method you can do yourself.

A Lexington, Kentucky woman recently set her home on fire while trying to treat her home with heat to kill bed bugs.

WKYT reports,

Carol says theyve called exterminators in before to no avail. So frustrated, Carol says her mother took action, but it sparked an unexpected problem that required firefighters to the rescue.

We found the fire in the bedroom, and then upon investigation we found that the occupant was trying to get rid of bed bugs by heating the room up to 95 degrees, says Lexington Fire Department Major Shaun Brown.

Fire officials says a camping grill was used to heat the room, essentially trying to create a sauna like feel.

An idea Carol says came from advice on the internet, but one that clearly backfired.

Unfortunately, Carols mother was trying to use a camping grill to heat the home and as delorac pointed out when she drew our attention to this story in the forums:

using an outdoor grill inside in an enclosed space poses a real risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. So she could have died in two different ways had she been unlucky.

Although Carol and her mother had received some professional treatments for bed bugs, eliminating bed bugs requires knowledge, skill, and usually multiple treatments. People with bed bugs are desperate to eliminate them. Nothing underscores that fact more than when the news reports stories of people who take their lives in their hands while trying to get rid of bed bugs.

Removing bed bugs is easy but you have to see them in order to effectively get rid of them. Killing bed bugs can be tricky and costly if you call a professional exterminator (recommended) to get rid of them. They will often charge $300 - $600 to treat a single room. And they dont always guarantee the results. You may want to attempt to remove and kill as many bed bugs as possible before calling in the professionals.

Below are a few things you can do to get rid of and kill bed bugs.

Effectiveness rating: 4/10

Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol kills bed bugs on-contact. Find the surfaces bed bugs inhabit, including crevices and harborages. Mix the isopropyl alcohol at a 1:1 ratio in a spray bottle with water. Liberally spray the surfaces and crevices and allow to dry naturally. Less water is recommended for smaller areas or areas sensitive to water.

Effectiveness rating: 3/10

Many professional exterminators are now using heat to kill bed bugs. Its safer and more effective than many of the chemicals traditionally used. Unfortunately the big commercial trailer-mounted BTU heating systems can cost up to $50,000.

A residential dryer can be effective for killing bed bugs on clothing, bedding materials, stuffed animals, shoes or any other soft articles which are dryer-safe.

When using the dryer, operate using small to medium size loads and run the dryer on high for at least 15 minutes. Remove the items immediately and seal them in a plastic bag for 24 hours. This will ensure that you kill all of the bed bugs.
