Despite the decrease of bed bug cases in some places, in Northern California, the vampire-like pests remain a big problem. In a report from patch.com, two separate infestations happened in the region in April alone. In response to it, My Cleaning Products offered samples of its non-pesticide bed bug spray Bed Bug Bully to the residents to help.

It was stated in the report posted on April 28, 2013 that one of the two infestations occurred in a low-income senior housing, My Cleaning Products said. It detailed that it's located in Stockton.

The other and more-recent infestation, based on the report, was in the popular coffee shop Starbucks, MCP shared. It specified that the coffee shop branch in Campbell at 1686 S. Bascom Avenue was the one affected. Particularly, the pests were sighted between the cushions of the sofa chairs of the establishment, it added.

There was an increase in the number of bed bug infestation in hospitals in the past few years, said a report. Acknowledging that bed bug cases indeed hiked, My Cleaning Products recommended to the public the use of a non-pesticide bed bug spray to counter the pests and offered samples of it.

The report said that compared with the percentage of bed bug infestations in hospitals in 2011, that of 2012 was 6% higher, My Cleaning Products related. And if compared with the number back in 2010, that of 2012 was twice as many, it detailed.

Based on the report posted on April 22, 2013, bed bugs get into hospitals because of the going in and out of patients and visitors, MCP stated. And as it additionally shared, the fact that hospitals get many transfers from nursing homes, where the pests are also a common problem, makes it harder for the management to prevent their presence.

It recounted, as the news specified, that the increase of bed bug infestation in nursing homes since 2010 reached 46%.

Hospitals have some of the strictest cleanliness protocols. And accordingly so given that bacteria from unsanitary practices could impend the life of patients. But sadly, even those protocols are not enough to block the breaking in of bed bugs.

As it was said in a recent post by marketwatch.com, those vampire-like pests are a big headache to hospitals nowadays. Worse, the number of their infestations has been increasing in the past few years.
