My family has been living in the same apartment for years, and 3/4 of those years weve been INFESTED with bedbugs. It is the most horrible thing, and our landlord is doing as little as he can, he is SOOO cheap. For a couple of weeks, i believed we were finially getting rid of them cause ive been finding dead beadbugs in their favorite couch theyve been living in. BUT THIS IS WHAT DISGUSTED ME THE MOST!!! It wasnt dead bed bugs. You see, a bed bug has to moult atleast 6 times to reach adulthood, and to moult, they need to feed on blood before each moult in order to reach adult hood. In you didnt know, moulting (in a bed bugs case) is just like a snake. They shed their gross little shells/skin anywhere they please, specifically their hiding place/home. THEY WERE OLD BEDBUG SHELLS, NOT DEAD BEDBUGS! THIS MADE ME WANT TO PUKE. Which means that we havent been getting rid of the bedbugs, they were just moults away from being a full adult. Bed bugs are getting immune to pestisides, and havent always been proven to work. As a matter of fact, everyday more bedbugs are living through all the toxic pestisides which are more dangerous to you, children, and pets than the bedbugs. A safe way to go is something called heat treatment (or ThermaPure, whatevers in your area. You basically hire someone to use heating devices to make your home to the degree which bedbugs cannot survive. Its a bit pricey, but IT WORKS! You have to have to HAVE TO get all the apartments/houses around you done or theyll come back, ESPECIALLY IF ITS AN APARTMENT. And tell your landlord!!! You pay, what, about $1000 or more A MONTH, SO HE NEEDS TO GET OFF HIS LAZY BUM AND DO SOMETHING!! Go to The Health Departmant or whatever you guys call it their, you can get your landlord in lotsof trouble if he doesnt do anything! its his responsibility to keep you and his other renters safe, otherwise he can lose his building his money and im pretty sure he can get sued! something NEEDS to be done. If this is the start of your infestation and you dont do anything, believe me, YOUR IN FOR THE WORST!!! I have bites on me everyday and a couple times i went to school WITH A BED BUG IN MY BINDER. I hope i helped alot! I dont want what happened to me and my family to you!!! It reaklly IS THE WORST. Below ill attach a few websites I found helpful And I REALLYYY suggest you read the first link alllll the wayy (wikipedia) its really all helpful, and the mating part, gross. read it. Sometimes male bedbugs try to mate other males. >.

Wiki: (Read all the way, veryyy helpful) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedbug Heat treatment: http://www.thermapure.com/pest-services/bed-bugs/ More: http://www.nyc.gov/html/doh/bedbugs/html/basics/bed-bug-myths.shtml http://www.thenorthcountryk9.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/bed-bug-lifecycle-stages.jpg http://www.epa.gov/bedbugs/

Continue reading here:
What can I do to get rid of bedbugs?

After literally hours of reseach, I am completely disgusted. Continue reading →

[6041
https://www.bedbugpestcontrol.com/nyc-registry/new-york-bed-bug-registry/wp-json/wp/v2/comments?post=290
https://www.bedbugpestcontrol.com/nyc-registry/new-york-bed-bug-registry/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/290/revisions
https://www.bedbugpestcontrol.com/nyc-registry/new-york-bed-bug-registry/wp-json/wp/v2/media?parent=290
https://www.bedbugpestcontrol.com/nyc-registry/new-york-bed-bug-registry/wp-json/wp/v2/categories?post=290
