The FDNYresponded to a five-alarm fire in the University Heights section of The Bronx on Wednesday. At least seven stores including a supermarket at University Place and West BurnsideAve. were affected.The fire broke out at about 5:30 a.m.At least 168 firefighters were on the scene.No injuries were reported. <\/p>\n

For one woman, the timing felt like it was heaven sent: she just lost much of her belongings in a fire. These \"layaway angels\" are part of the nonprofit group Pay Away the Layaway. <\/p>\n
