To begin with start cleaning cupboard shelves, bed linen, furniture, wall cervices and the rubbish which will be inclusive of bed bug eggs, their shed and skin particles. It is just the top of the iceberg; innumerable creatures are hidden in constricted places all over the room. It’s the time to call up a pest control agency like Bed Bug Exterminator, New York City Bed Bugs, Bed Bug Control in NY etc.
Bed bug alert leads you to this tiny, but very problematic blood sucking pest. These are common domestic insect pest; small, wingless, and light brown in color. Although it feeds on the blood of human beings, it is not, strictly speaking, a human parasite. It comes to the human skin only for its food and may in the absence of human beings; it feeds on other warm blooded animals. The bedbug lives in the cervices of bedsteads, floors, walls, wallpapers, and furniture. Usually it is carried from house to house on clothing and bedding, but it may also travel from one dwelling to another in search of nourishment.
Several insect bites resemble one another, but bedbug wheals, swollen inflamed areas surrounding central puncture spots, may be distinguished from those of mosquitoes because they seem to be limited to one area and follow a track.

Aside from constituting a nuisance and secreting a mildly unpleasant odor from their glands, the species, comex lectularis, common to the temperate zone, may also be the carrier of such diseases as kala azar, European relapsing fever, and according to certain experiments, plague and tularemia. Bed bug is no longer a minor pest compared to mosquitoes. Many people show mild allergic reaction to anticoagulant which is not fatal. However the bitten spot incites a lot of itching and rash. The rash recovery varies in every individual case. It takes for a day to few weeks at the maximum. For the remaining population it is not noticed as bite occurs when asleep. In infants a continuous cycle of pest attach over a period of time leading to them becoming anemic.
A bed bug can live as long as six weeks without any nourishment. The female lays 200 eggs from three to four times annually, in batches of approximately fifty. The larvae hatch in from one to three weeks, grow slowly, and mature in six weeks to six months; the young molt five times at intervals of eight days leaving characteristic shells. Thus once Bed bug alert is there, highly infested bed mattress linen, pillows should rather be thrown than treated for reuse. Those lightly infested can be washed with hot water after steeping them for few hours. Summer sun exposure of infested things for some hours kills the pest. Optimum temperature for the pest to survive is 70-80 degrees. This is the spring feeding time for the bug in New York and other similar temperature states. Keep away from free deals on the roadsides. You will bring in not only the deal but parasites clinging to it indoors. Keep all laundered clothing in clean cupboard. When the sprays are used indoors ascertain that kids and adults are not adversely affected. Postponing professional service is inviting more trouble as the pest will continue to thrive with extended time frame making eradication process longer and your expenses more by way of discarding many household items.
Bed bugs survive by sucking warm blood at night that is why they are labeled nocturnal feeders. The chemical that the pest injects into the spot prior to sucking blood makes the place numb with no sensation. Anti coagulant injected oozes out the host blood with ease. In fifteen minutes their stomach is full and they escape into the hiding. One feed is enough for 4-6 months life.
As now you are already aware of the symptoms that will help you to understand the presence of these bed bugs, get ready in your war against bed bugs and eradicate these from your household. Make your life bed bug free!
